Yvonne Mizuta was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. She attended the University of Denver then transferred to New York University in 1985 to finish her undergraduate degree. Many years after college, one of her capoeira instructors suggested to look into Oriental medicine which led her to the New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She received her Masters in both Acupuncture 2001 and in Oriental Medicine 2003. Yvonne has studied internal style arts and Qi Gong from Master Ping Zhen Chen and further studied Chinese medicine with Dr. Rui Chen Ye.
